Literature Text

"You’re on the bank, standing on the edge.  Now you can see it.

Welcome to oblivion.

Intangible shards slip past your skin and only now scream their icy presence on your insides.  Severe.  You smell it, taste it – all the subtler things, all the happenings that you cannot normally see, cannot normally know.  This is where they collect themselves.  So, it’s fitting you should be here.

Well?  If you want to know, jump.  We’ll see what happens.

You see?  The chaos beyond is silent.  The unknown infinity of times and spaces, of nothing and less, of anything and all, really -- this is how it goes.  Your world does not end in an apocalypse.  There is no dulling, no dim, no flicker into absence.  You have no epoch.

You go slowly and silently in relapse.  And this is how the world ends … a moment from now, the moment you jumped off the edge, and even the moment before that.  Just watch.  We all will play again as everything overwrites itself.  This is where all stories implode upon their common birth.  Have you noticed their repetition? You’ve heard a few.  Well, now that you’re here you know, as others did; when one steps off the plane one rarely falls.  The dive will bring you back to some beginning.  You’ll be consumed in the motions of your space as your forgetfulness pursues you.

Rewind.  Play.
That is how you end."
Who knows? I write things at odd hours.

Interesting. Bleak, yet not depressing; sheer, direct; musings and opinion well-blended. "The dive will bring you back to some beginning" - it could be cleaned up a little, but this I like particularily.
